Objectives
—		to stimulate interest in reading;
—		to develop a reading habit;
—		to widen the scope of reading and knowledge;
—		to enhance language proficiency.

	Programme Details
	—		Members will be awarded bonus points by reading any book borrowed from any university or local library, submitting reports or participating in different learning activities specified by the Club.
	—		Members can check their bonus points record on the Bookworm Club website.
	—		Members may exchange their accumulated bonus points for souvenirs or book vouchers from the Bookworm Club.
	—		Annually, members with the highest accumulated bonus points will be presented with a prize and Certificate of Merit.

	To Participate
	—		Participants must be registered members of the Bookworm Club ( Join now ).
	—		Participants should email their book records and reports as attachments to lle@ln.edu.hk, with subject: Reading Scheme.
	—		Book reports in English should be in Microsoft Word .doc. If it is written in Chinese, it should be in Traditional Chinese (Big-5) characters and saved in Microsoft Word .doc or txt. format.
	—		Participants should submit information including their names, institutions and membership card numbers together with the reports.
	—		Participants must show their membership cards when participating in reading activities organized by the Club.

Bonus Scheme

Item		Bonus
1.	Reading any book borrowed from any university or local library and recording details of the book read (including book title, author, publisher and publishing year)
*	and submit a book report of not less than 200 words in Chinese or English.	5
*	and submit a book report of not less than 400 words in Chinese or English.	10
2.	Participating in activities organized by the Bookworm Club.	5

Souvenir

Members can exchange their accumulated bonus points for souvenirs which requires the presentation of their membership cards.
