Book Reviews Wanted

In order to encourage the sharing of interests and experiences in reading, expression of opinions and improvement of writing skills, the Bookworm Club invites both teacher and student members to write and contribute book review essays about books that you have read. Essays selected by the Bookworm Club will be published on the website and the author of the selected essay will be rewarded with a HK$100 book voucher.


To contribute a book review essay, please observe the following guidelines:
1.
 

You must be a registered member of the Bookworm Club ( Join Now ).

2.
 
The essay should not be less than 500 words in Chinese or English and should be emailed to lle@ln.edu.hk with subject: Book Review as an attachment.

3.
 
English book review should be in Microsoft Word .doc. If it is written in Chinese, it should be in Traditional Chinese (Big-5) characters and saved in Microsoft Word .doc or txt. format.

4.
 
You must provide your personal information, including your name, institution and membership number and also the book title, author, publisher and the year of publishing in your essay for our record. But you can write using a pseudonym if preferred.

5.
 
We also accept essays that have been published in other publications, media or website.
6.
 
The copyright of the essay belongs to the author. However, the Bookworm Club reserves the right to use the essay for educational, promotional and reporting purposes. Prior consent from the author will be sought if the essay is to be published for commercial use.
